School news and events will be communicated through a variety of methods. These include:
Class Dojo:
Class Dojo is a communication application (app) which connects parents/carers, teachers and children.
Teachers use it as a communication platform to encourage children and to get parents/carers engaged in their children’s learning. Teachers can communicate with parents on a 1:1 messaging service or via the class page where general class messages can be shared.
Parents will be kept informed of class events and see evidence of their child’s work and learning environment. They can communicate with teachers via 1:1 messaging.
Teachers will communicate through class dojo with a variety of information including:
- Individual classes uploading content and messages and letters relating to class events.
- Whole school letters will be uploaded onto the school story.
- General short queries about class activities will also be answered by class teachers on dojo.
- More serious issues should be discussed by contacting the school office to arrange an appointment/telephone conversation with the appropriate member of staff.
- ALL absences must be reported to the school office by telephone call. Absences must not be reported on dojo. This is a safeguarding issue and we must ensure that any communication regarding absence is recorded by the school office.
- ALL medical appointments must be reported to the school office.
